"It's a troublesome world. All the people who're in it are troubled with troubles almost every minute. You ought to be thankful, a whole heaping lot, for the places and people you're lucky you're not."
Dr Seuss aka Theodor Seuss Geisel
Wow just wow, I stumbled across this quote and it was amazing, I had to share it with you guys.
The Cat in the Hat
PS Did anyone else think that "The Cat in the Hat" was Dr.Seuss as a kid? I did lol.
I love dr. Seuss. He is a great writer. I remember as a kid I always loved the Lorax, but I never realised it had such a strong environmental message until I grew up and was reading it to my nephew.
That thankfulness comes out of seeing someone else in a bad situation that they put themselves in. By being glad of this, it negates the positive feeling of righteousness. Seuss was a great writer for children. I enjoyed most of his stories as a tyke.
Dr. Seuss is a very quotable person. It's pretty odd that he wrote children's stories. I sometimes feel the urge to try to decipher his poems for a deeper meaning.. But I am too lazy.
Probably one of the most insightful writers for children to ever live. He was filled to the brim with excellent quotes.
Sorry, accidentally broke the comment box and didn't realize! I fixed it back to the pop-up box, try that now. Thanks for making me aware of the problem.
